Breast lift surgery is a body contouring procedure that repositions the nipple and contours the breast to a more youthful appearance. Aging, weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and a genetic predisposition are all factors that can cause the breasts to droop, which is also known as ptosis. As sagging takes place, the skin surrounding the breasts begins to stretch. When this happens, many women are dissatisfied with their appearance and long for a more youthful contour. Breast lift surgery is often combined with a breast augmentation to round out the upper part of the breast and achieve a fuller appearance. How Does a Breast Lift Work?
A breast lift is an outpatient surgery that is performed while the patient is under general anesthesia. The precise technique used is tailored to the anatomy of the patient. The inverted T (known as an anchor) and the vertical incision are the most commonly used incisions. In most situations, the size of the areola is reconstructed and reduced to match the new placement and shape of the breast. At this time, an implant can be placed in the breast if this was discussed with Dr. Tavakolian before surgery.
The results of a breast lift vary from person to person. The goal is for the breast tissue to be lifted above the inframammary fold and for the nipple to point straight ahead and be centered on the breast. After surgery, you will be given a support bra to wear for a few weeks. Most women resume normal activity within a few days, but Dr. Lindsey recommends waiting approximately three weeks to resume strenuous exercise. Please remember that the aging process of the breast continues after surgery, so sagging will reoccur with time. I went to Dr. Tavakolian for a recommendation on filler (face/lips/whatever she recommended) with a stipulation of walking out “looking the same, but better.” I basically told her “I want to look the same, I am your canvas,” and she delivered - completely and very subtly. I was (and am) incredibly pleased with the outcome. I’ve received compliments on looking refreshed. (I’ve even been carded since!) I completely trust her recommendations and will be returning. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to dip their toe into cosmetics in a safe way without the pressure to do anything dramatic.
Dr Tavakolian is definitely the real deal. She is a true talent in her craft. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty in June and the results are amazing. I just had a tummy tuck and BBL on 12/12/23. I love Dr. Lindsey Tavakolian and my new breasts. I was referred to Dr. Tavakolian by another very established plastic surgeon in Dallas. He told me she does beautiful breast augmentations and her patients are all very happy. From the first visit with Dr. Tavakolian she was very attentive and spent time with me answering all my questions. She recommended implants that would enhance my breasts without being too big. Being female, I knows she gets it, what women really want. Needless to say I scheduled the procedure right away. The surgery was quick and I was able to go home the same day. I went to Dr. Tavakolian for 360 lipo with a BBL and a labiaplasty. I wish I would have not waited so long as my results and body look amazing. I have never felt so confident in my own skin.
