How Does a Breast Reduction Work?
Dr. Lindsey performs breast reduction surgery under general anesthesia. The entire procedure can take anywhere from two to three hours. During surgery, Dr. Lindsey makes an incision around the areola and downward on the breast. If the breasts are very large, an additional horizontal incision in the fold may be necessary. Dr. Lindsey then removes excess skin, fat, and breast tissue before lifting the nipple to a higher position. In some cases, she may use liposuction techniques to remove fat from the underarm area. The incisions are then closed with sutures and recovery can begin.
To ensure optimal results, Dr. Lindsey will provide a bra to wear in the weeks after breast reduction surgery. The Highland Park Plastic Surgery Center staff provide thorough post-operative instructions and support to help facilitate a quick and safe healing process. Many patients are able to return to work in one week, but more strenuous activities—such as exercises—should be avoided for several weeks.

I went to Dr. Tavakolian for a recommendation on filler (face/lips/whatever she recommended) with a stipulation of walking out “looking the same, but better.” I basically told her “I want to look the same, I am your canvas,” and she delivered - completely and very subtly. I was (and am) incredibly pleased with the outcome. I’ve received compliments on looking refreshed. (I’ve even been carded since!) I completely trust her recommendations and will be returning. I love Dr. Lindsey Tavakolian and my new breasts. I was referred to Dr. Tavakolian by another very established plastic surgeon in Dallas. He told me she does beautiful breast augmentations and her patients are all very happy. From the first visit with Dr. Tavakolian she was very attentive and spent time with me answering all my questions. She recommended implants that would enhance my breasts without being too big. I went to Dr. Tavakolian for 360 lipo with a BBL and a labiaplasty. I wish I would have not waited so long as my results and body look amazing. I have never felt so confident in my own skin.
